Heat halls CO2-neutrally!

On 23.04.2024 the ifh INTHERM in Nuremberg will open its doors. The trade fair for sanitary, home and building technology will showcase the latest trends in building technology on a total of four days from 09:00 to 18:00. LK Metallwaren GmbH and its team from the “hall heating” branch will introduce the new climate-neutral ventilation and hall heating systems.Our systems technology is used to heat and cool warehouses and logistics halls, true to our motto “For the sake of the climate”.

The LK air heaters GCS (Green Climate System) and the REKU ventilation systems can be equipped with air-to-air or air-to-water heat pumps. It is also possible to equip the systems with PWW registers that can be connected to local or district heating. For heat pumps, for example, the refrigerant R290 can be used as a heating and cooling medium.

This refrigerant, better known as propane, is an example of a relatively climate-friendly refrigerant. The GWP is just 3. When used in a heat pump, R290 also enables flow temperatures of up to 75 °C. R290 is also a natural refrigerant that is available in unlimited quantities.

Another refrigerant is R32 (difluoromethane), which we use in heat pumps. The refrigerant R32 has a GWP (Global Warming Potential) of 675. From 2025, only GWP values of a maximum of 750 will be permitted. Refrigerants that exceed the respective values are withdrawn from the market.

Alternatively, all LK hall heating and ventilation systems can also be operated using other non-fossil heat generators such as geothermal energy, wood chips or pellets. Conversions can also be carried out in a short time with little technical effort.
