Solar air collectors use solar energy to heat air directly and make it available for various applications. The process begins when the sun’s rays hit the absorbing surface of the collector. This surface, often made of highly thermally conductive materials with a special coating, converts the incident solar radiation into heat.
The cool ambient air or pre-filtered fresh air is fed through the collector and absorbs the heat generated. Integrated fans or thermal boosters ensure a constant air flow. The heated air can then be fed directly into rooms or used to support heating and ventilation systems.
