In a cement factory, a large fan in the upper section of a 35 m high filter tower generates a permanently high noise level. For the maintenance staff, this meant unpleasant noise pollution – combined with safety risks and restricted accessibility.
The company was looking for a customized soundproofing solution that could be installed in confined spaces – without restricting the function of the fan or obstructing the air flow.
LK Metall developed a specially manufactured sound-insulating housing that was precisely tailored to the spatial conditions and technical requirements of the fan. Special feature: Access to the unit is still possible without any problems – thanks to a two-part, side-opening cabin concept with integrated service flaps.
The construction was designed as a modular system and could therefore be installed directly at a height of 35 m – without any major logistical effort. The soundproof cabin reduces the noise level to a tolerable level for people and at the same time protects the environment from noise emissions.
The result: Quieter. Safer. More efficient.
The new silencer for the ventilation system not only improves working conditions for staff, but also actively contributes to compliance with noise protection regulations. The flexible design allows service work to be carried out at any time – without dismantling the entire cabin.
