As a manufacturer of fresh pasta, the food producer operates modern production and cooling technology. However, despite the efficient technology, the noise of the cooling system fans in the outdoor area caused displeasure among the neighboring residents.
The aim of the project was to create an effective and durable noise protection solution that improves the quality of living in the surrounding area – while at the same time being resistant to the effects of the weather.
LK Metall developed a sound insulation wall specially tailored to the conditions on site, consisting of high-quality wall panels, a stable steel construction frame and visually integrated baffle plates.
The system was installed behind an outdoor production hall and specifically protects the critical area of the ventilation technology. The weatherproof construction is designed for durability and minimal maintenance. It consists of a galvanized steel skin in combination with mineral wool as insulation material and can therefore withstand wind and weather in the long term. The robust wall structure was developed together with the customer after intensive consultation and implemented in the form of a 3.30 meter high and 20 meter long construction. The prefabricated panels were installed in a very short time – to the great satisfaction of the residents.
The result: more peace and quiet – more neighborhood peace
The system was completed in just three weeks – one each for design, production and assembly.
Since then, the noise protection solution has ensured significantly reduced noise emissions, satisfied residents and smooth day-to-day production at the food manufacturer.
The wall construction consists of weather-resistant, galvanized steel combined with sound-insulating mineral wool on the inside. This material not only provides excellent sound insulation, but also defies the effects of the weather in the long term.
Particularly noteworthy is the special installation angle of 135 degrees, which makes it possible to direct the sound waves in two directions and thus effectively relieve the neighboring residential areas.
