Brunner turning technology
In CNC production at Brunner Drehtechnik, workpieces are cleaned of oil and particle residues in a basket washer. However, the previous procedure was time-consuming: Daily manual skimming of oil and regular replacement of the cleaning medium not only meant high costs and time expenditure, but also quality fluctuations in the washing process.
The aim was to find a solution that would reduce the effort involved, extend the service life of the washing liquid and improve the cleaning quality.
A compact LK light liquid separator type A2UNO-R1-K0 was used, which was installed directly next to the washing system and integrated into the circuit.

Thanks to the new solution, the operator can automatically separate the oil during operation and feed the cleaning medium into the process in the circuit – without any daily manual intervention.
The result: efficiency meets sustainability
Thanks to the system, the service life of the washing medium is significantly extended, while the cleaning quality of the metal parts remains consistently high. The daily manual cleaning that was previously required is no longer necessary – this saves resources, improves processes and protects the environment.
In addition, the consumption of cleaning agents is significantly reduced as the treated medium is continuously recirculated. Energy savings thanks to the thermally insulated design also contribute to sustainability. Operating costs are measurably reduced, while process reliability is significantly increased. Last but not least, the automatic oil separation system frees up employees, who can now concentrate more on value-adding activities. The system from LK-Metallwaren thus proves to be a holistic solution for more efficient and environmentally friendly production processes.
